North Okanagan Hiking Adventures Guide!~

The Okanagan Valley has a wide variety of beautiful spots, from beaches, to cliffs, rivers and hiking trails. Recently I have compiled a nice small hiking guide that covers 5 hiking areas in the vicinity of Vernon, Lumby and Armstrong, B.C that are all in close driving distance and can easily be done in an afternoon. Most locations covered have really good swimming and camping opportunities, not to mention they are beautiful and they all offer a unique experience. Time to get out and stretch the legs before the ski season is upon us!

  1. Nice pic of Margaret Falls at Herald Provincial Park. We love to walk up to the falls a couple of times each year. It is great for families as even small children can make the short walk along the paths to the falls. It is also great fun in the winter. I would recommend wearing something like Yaktrax though to prevent slipping as it is usually very icy.
