Recently Ruedi Belginger has released a new guidebook for Revy with tons of new multi-pitch and couple of new areas. Dean Flick, Ruedi and others have been hard at work over the last few years and this area has really become a destination in it's own!
There are 6 new multi-pitch lines that have been established close to town up to 16 pitches! So psyched! You also have a crag with a tyrolean traverse over a raging creek; multi-pitch, rap-in climbing over a lake; and lots of other great classics in great settings! If you are looking for an adventurous experience, revy is a great place!
I just got back from Bouldering in Revelstoke at Eagle Pass. People should know that the directions must be a little dated because now once you make the first turn off of the highway there is a tank trap that blocks the forest service road but you can get around it, however there are a lot of road obstacles so you can't make it all the way to the parking area. Park somewhere on the road and take an easy hike in less than 1/2 mile.
ReplyDeleteI climbed in Revelstoke 2 summers ago and had a great time. I've always wanted to go back. I'm glad to hear there's an update to the guide. I had no idea there was so much multipitch potential so close to town.

Wow, which crag(s) are the 2nd and 3rd pictures from? That looks incredible!
